BFGoodrich TA K02 Review Featuring Anthem Off-Road
April 26, 2021
The BFGoodrich TA K02 has been one of the most loved and trusted tires since its release. Not to mention that BFGoodrich as a company has been the go-to for many daily drivers and off-road enthusiasts because of the value they provide that won't cost you an arm and a leg. While the TA K02 is a little more pricey than the lower, entry-level truck tires, I don't think you'll be disappointed with the performance and value.
Let's break down some of the key features of the BFGoodrich TA K02 and later, Anthem Off-Road.
BFGoodrich K02 TA Overview
The BFGoodrich TA K02 is the new and improved version of their K0 model as of 1999. Since then, it's been their best-selling all-terrain to date.
Its all-terrain tread pattern and rubber compound are the ideal balance of utility, and function, and comfort.

BFGoodrich TA K02 Pros
The BFGoodrich TA K02 has been their best-selling all-terrain tire to date for good reason.
It's a very well-balanced tire that's ideal for those who travel to job sites often, daily drive their trucks/Jeeps/SUVs, and those who need a durable tire that's up to some challenges when they arrive.
Balanced On and Off Road Performance
The BFGoodrich is an all-terrain tire meaning it's rated for some more adventurous and aggressive traveling in between the highway commutes and general daily driving.
The TA K02 has a pretty toned-down tread pattern with somewhat aggressive serrated outer tread blocks/shoulder lugs that provide extra grip when you need it.
The TA K02 also has the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake rating for those who experience a real winter with ice, snow, and slush and need that good snow traction.
This all-terrain tire uses BFGoodrich's Locking 3-D Active Sipe Technology which creates deep tread sipping. Paired with the wide tread blocks, the TA K02 has excellent traction in light to heavy snow, ice, and winter slush.
Low Road Noise
Most all-terrains have a pretty balanced tire noise with performance capabilities and the BFG TA K02 is a good testament to this.
Due to its interlocking center tread blocks, the road noise is low and tolerable while still maintaining great road traction, so if you commute to work during the week or see the highway pretty often, it'll be a quiet ride.
Great Value Tire With Excellent Tread Life
The BFGoodrich TA K02 is not your entry-level, cheap all-terrain, but for a tire that performs this well, has a very reputable history, and is balanced for every type of driving and weather conditions, the price of this tire is definitely justified starting at $731 for a 275/35/15. The most popular size, the 275/60/20, starts at $1145.
It won't cost you an arm and a leg to get ahold of AND since it has a mileage rating of up to 70,000 miles, you can expect this tire to last you quite some time!
Compared to the previous model of the TA K02, the K0 series, BFG increased its treadwear expectancy by 15%. For drivers who are on the road often, this is GREAT news for you.
Forking out hundreds of dollars every season for tires gets old and expensive quickly, but the BFGoodrich TA K02 is raved about for its excellent tread life.
