First things first, before you even get started on this build you are going to have to know the basics of your fitment. The bolt pattern for this generation of Ram 1500 is a 6x5.5. When you get wheels, be sure that they are compatible with this bolt pattern.
As far as a lift or leveling kit, you always want to make sure that is compatible with your year, make, and model as well. As you get bigger and bigger you can obviously fit larger wheels or tires, just always make sure to read the largest size tire you can get with your lift. If you are unsure, then this what fits guide will help you along the way because all three of these builds are already proven to have worked.
Starting off our list is a 2020 Ram 1500 with a leveling kit that's riding on a 22x12 -44 XF Offroad XF-222 wrapped in a 33x12.5 hybrid tire. This is a simple, clean look that adds some aggression to the 2020 Ram without being over-bearing. The leveling kit provides just a hint of lift while the XF Offroad wheels offer an aggressive new look.
XF Offroad has been around for quite some time and has really become a massive competitor in the off-road scene. Most of their styles cater to more of a show truck styling with intricate details and a lot of milling. The XF-222 is no exception to this. With it's double 7 spoke design, concave construction, and riveted accents, the XF-222 offers an aggressive styling that is hard to match at this price point. Plus you get the fantastic build quality that XF Offroad is known to deliver.
For suspension, this Ram is running a leveling kit. The purpose of a leveling kit is to correct the factory rake that the truck has. When new trucks are produced, the rear of the truck actually sits higher than the front. The reason for this is that when the truck is under load, it will ride even instead of sagging. The leveling kit raises the front of the truck slightly so the entire truck sits level when it's not under load. This gives the truck a very slight lifted look that a lot of truck owners are looking for. This is also an extremely cost-effective option for anyone that wants their truck to sit a little higher without breaking the bank.
The build for those who are unafraid. This setup will probably make your grandma mad for not being practical, but you will have so much fun driving it and seeing the reactions of those on the street who even cares?
Next, we have a little more of an aggressive setup. This is already an off-road-ready 2019 Ram Rebel, but the owner has installed a 2.5 inch suspension lift, some 20x12 -52 Method NV MR605 wheels, and a set of 35x12.5 RBP Repulsor MT RX tires. This is still a daily drivable setup but puts more focus on the off-road performance than comfort on the pavement.
Method has been one of our most popular wheel companies this year. With their simple, off-road inspired designs, durable construction, and low cost, Method wheels have solidified their place in the offroad industry. The NV is among their most popular designs featuring a large center hub with exposed lug nuts, short muli-spoke design, and a simulated beadlock, the Method NV has been a best seller in 2020 and shows no sign of slowing down.
The RBP Repulsor MT is, as the name suggests, a mud tire. It features massive tread blocks with large, deep tread voids and an aggressive sidewall. This tire is designed for the people that frequently find themselves tearing up the trails. RBP has put a ton of research and development into the Repulsor MT to ensure that it can tackle a wide variety of terrain. The large tread voids aid in removing large stones from the tread while evacuating water to maintain grip in adverse conditions. If you need a tire to withstand the harshest of terrain, the RBP Repulsor MT is a great option.
