5 Things to Know Before Buying Wheels and Tires
February 15, 2020
Buying wheels and tires is a big purchase so it is important to know what you're doing before you purchase.
Today we'll cover 5 things you need to know before buying wheels and tires.
1. Know Your Fitment
You should always confirm your fitment before placing your order. Make sure you have the correct bolt pattern, offset, diameter, and width. If you need any help, you can always contact us! We even have a live chat where
you can talk one on one with a representative to make sure you're getting the wheels and tires that you need.
2. Accessories
You should always know what accessories you will need for your order. Sometimes you may need specific lug nuts or tire pressure sensors. A lot of aftermarket wheels require aftermarket lug nuts.
Maybe you want some extra protection for your wheels. We can apply ceramic coating to your wheels before they get shipped out as well.
3. Processing and Shipping
It is a common misconception that processing and shipping mean the same thing.
Processing refers to the time it takes for us to get your order prepared to be shipped out. Normal processing times are 6-12 business days but during busy times, it is usually 8-15 days.
Shipping time is the time from when it leaves our warehouse to when it arrives at your door. We do offer expedited shipping on our website if you need the extra speed. However, this only applies to the shipping time, not the processing time.
4. Practicality
We all love a big lifted truck with meaty tires, but this might not be the setup you want if you can't fit it in your garage. Little things can impact your vehicle in ways you probably haven't thought about before.
Take Jeeps for example, if you buy a big aftermarket spare wheel and tire for the back, you will probably need to relocate your third brake light.
If you order mud tires and mount the spare on the back, this could cause excess wear on the door hinges, so you may need to get reinforced hinges.
5. The Process
When you order your new wheels and tires, have a budget in mind. This way we can help you find the right wheel and tire combination quickly and easily.
We would also recommend knowing the different types of tires as well. You can check out our YouTube channel for more information.
Once you place your order, you will have the rest of the day or until early the following morning to make any changes to your order.
When the wheels are brought to you at home, you will need to be present, sign for them, and unload them from the truck.
Now you should be ready to place your order! What are you waiting for? The perfect set of wheels and tires are waiting for you here!
