So you own or you just got a 2nd Gen Tacoma. Now it's time for the fun, you get to customize your pickup truck and make it everything that you ever wanted. But what the heck is going to fit your truck?

2nd Gen Tacoma Stock Suspension Fitment

 

The most common setup for this generation Tacoma on stock suspension is a set of 17x8.5 0 rims with 265/70R17 tires. The lower offset rims and larger tires will help to give your truck a more aggressive look over your stock rims and tires.

Small Wheel Big Tire: 16x8 0 rims with 245/75R16 tires

 

Daily Driver: 17x8.5 0 rims with 265/70R17 tires

 

Big Wheel Small Tire: We don't recommend rims larger than 18” on stock suspension.



2nd Gen Tacoma Leveling Kit Fitment

 

Leveling kits are one of the most common suspension upgrades for your Tacoma. They allow you to fit slightly more aggressive rims and tires while being easy to install. One of the most common rim and tire packages for this setup is a set of 18x9 0 rims with 285/60R18 tires

2nd Gen Tacoma 3” Lift Fitment

 

Upgrading your suspension even further to a 3” lift kit will allow you to fit larger wheels and tires without having to worry about rubbing or trimming. The most popular setup for 2nd Gen Tacomas is a set of 18x9 +1 rims with 285/65R18 tires.

Small Wheel Big Tire: 16x8 0 rims with 285/75R16 tires

 

Daily Driver: 18x9 +1 rims with 285/65R18 tires

 

Big Wheel Small Tire: 20x10 -19 rims with 275/55R20 tires




2nd Gen Tacoma 4-6” Lift Fitment

 

Moving up to a 4-6” lift kit opens up a lot of possibilities, especially compared to a Tacoma on stock suspension. 33” tires will now clear easily without modification. Take a look at this Tacoma on a set of 22x12 -44 rims with 35x12.5R22 tires.
